| ATI's FireGL™ to Power Latest HP Desk-Side and Mobile Workstations |
MARKHAM, ONTARIO, Apr 24, 2006 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX News Network) -- ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX:ATY)(NASDAQ:ATYT) today announced that the company's newest graphics technology will be available in the latest HP desk-side and mobile workstations. The FireGL™ V3300 and FireGL™ V7200 workstation graphics accelerators will be at the heart of the HP xw6400 and xw8400 Workstations, while ATI's Mobility FireGL™ V5200 GPU will drive the HP nw8440 Mobile Workstation. These FireGL graphics products are part of ATI's new top-to-bottom family of accelerators based on the same advanced technology found in the recently introduced ultra high-end FireGL™ V7350, the industry's first one gigabyte (1GB) workstation graphics accelerator. The entry-level FireGL V3300 features 128 MB of memory and dual DVI outputs; the high-end FireGL V7200 features 256 MB of memory, a 512-bit ring bus memory controller, two Dual Link enabled DVI outputs, and stereoscopic 3D output.
